Director of Development - Delta Public Schools, KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program)
KIPP Delta is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Director of Development who will lead all fundraising efforts for the region while also building the structures to support a growing network of schools, meeting aggressive goals. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with other senior leaders and Board members, the Director of Development will develop and execute against a strategic and diversified development plan including individual, corporate and foundation sources. In addition, the Director of Development will have primary responsibility for establishing processes to track and monitor all fundraising efforts, identifying areas for operational improvements and efficiencies, implementing effective public relations and communication strategies and establishing best practices throughout the department.
Qualifications: 5+ years of fundraising experience; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; strong base of knowledge of all aspects of fundraising including foundation and corporate relations, grant management, special events and individual giving programs; committment to helping a highly successful organization implement systems and structures to support significant growth; strategic, analytical approach combined with a strong work ethic, interpersonal professionalism and charisma; excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences; demonstrated passion for the mission, vision and values of KIPP Delta.

Director of Philanthropy - The Nature Conservancy
The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for the oversight, planning and implementation of a five-person Arkansas philanthropy and marketing program that attracts the significant financial resources from foundations, corporations, and individuals to support conservation goals in Arkansas and around the world. Manages all philanthropy functions, which include major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, research, and special multi-year fundraising campaigns. Works with Arkansas team members to establish fundraising goals and is accountable for these goals. Hires, manages, and establishes fundraising goals for Associate Directors of Philanthropy and other fundraising staff. Motivates and coordinates the efforts of a multi-disciplinary staff team and volunteers in fundraising, including donor cultivation and solicitation. Responsible for moving a select group of prospects. Focuses on long-range strategic priorities, advances the Conservancy's goals, and communicates a broad vision to others. Understands and complies with all Conservancy gift-related policies and procedures and ensures ethical compliance, as defined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field and at least 7 years' fundraising experience. Experience manageing and supervising a large multi-disciplinary team. Experience working with current and evolving trends in major gifts giving and solicitation. Experience, coursework, or other training in current trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major gifts and planned giving. Working knowledge or ability to learn basics of charitable gift planning. Experience in asking for and closing major gifts. Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents such as major donors, foundations, and corporations.
